red mail Louis John Angel Family (Jan 09 Red)
My grandfather was pork butcher in Alnwick from 1908-1911 (when he taken ill and died suddenly). His wife, Catherine, subsequently managed the butcher shop for a number of years, before marrying William Meech in 1918. My father (William Colin Angel)grew up and attended school there with his 3 sisters, before emigrating to Canada in the 1920s. I would be very happy if anyone reading this remembers anything of the family, the school the children attended, the butcher shop, etc.
