Tuckers Of Fulbrooks , Allington And Formerly Bridport
(8/02-10/03
Red)
I am researching the Tucker family of Bridport. Richard Tucker b1756, son of John Tucker of Bridport, married Mary Palmer of North Perrot. They had several children one of which was Richard Tucker b.1802/1803. Another was William Cleeves Tucker. Richard was a borough magistrate, town councillor and mayor in 1851. He and William ran a twine and net business, Richard Tucker and Sons. He was married to Jane Draper Buncombe and they produced about 15 children. The children were all christened in Bridport or Allington. Any additional information welcome, particularly other descendants. Am seeking to take research back further.
