Joseph Shepherd of Aller 1870s (Dec 07 Red)
I am looking for the family of Joseph Shepherd born in Aller in Somerset around 1871. His father was a farmer called William. I have searched census returns in 1881 and found a Josiah Shepherd but cannot find Joseph. Can anyone help me to find Joseph?

Charles Smey of Aller c.1790s (Mar 05 Green)
I have just found that an ancestor of mine, Giles Foster, was living with a Charles Smey (who he called his uncle) in Aller as an Indoor Servant in Husbandry from the summer of 1792 to March 1794 does anyone have any information on the Smeys and they may be related to the Fosters or Coombs/Coombes (Giles' mother Sarah's maiden name?)
