Looking for descendants of ROBERT MCGREGOR bJan 1872 at Bonhill he married Jessie THORBURN Sep 1898 at Alexandria. He was Secretary of Co-operative Society. Lived in Alexandria. Children- Mungo McGregor, George Thorburn McGregor, Robert Gourlay McGregor. JEANIE and WILLIAM MCGREGOR married Feb.1898 at Alexandria. He was a Painter and Decorator. Lived at Alexandria. Children- Jeanie Gourlay Mcgregor, Campbell McGregor. ROBERT and JEANIE were brother and sister.

James and Margaret Docherty (nee Allan) (Nov 08 Red)
James and Margaret were married on 1st january, 1883, in the parish of Bonhill, Dumbarton. They resided in Alexandria. James's parents were John and Catherine (nee Coyle) while Margaret's were William and Mary Allan. According to family stories, the Dochertys came from Ireland (Donegal?)in 1840s/1850s. My search has stalled in Alexandria. There are Dochertys on the 1881 census bu no exact matches. both families were Roman Catholic and both fathers were general labourers. Any help would be great!

McGregor and Gourlay (Mar 08 Green)
Mungo McGregor and Jane Gourlay married 3 June 1864 in Bonhill Parish. They are my GG Grandparents. Mungo worked at the Turkey Red Yarn Dyers. They lived in Smollett Street, Alexandria. The house is called Janeville. I am looking for any information about them. They had 5 children who survived into adulthood, Jessie born April 1869, Robert born Jan. 1872, Margaret born May 1874, Jane born July 1876 and John born November 1880.
