John & Emma FINING (Sep 09 Green)
My great-uncle John FINING was stationed at Aldershot Military in Stanhope Lines (Wellington) in 1901. He was living in married quarters with his wife Emma Jane (nee Newman) and their children Emma (b.1897), John (b. 1898) and Ethel(b. 1900). I believe he spent the rest of his life in Aldershot area and passed away in Farnham in 1903. John was born in Staffordshire of Irish stock and grew up in Derbyshire before settling in Hampshire and I would love to know if any Fining relatives still live there.

Can anyone give me information about William Stewart Heard, born in Aldershot in 1881? His family migrated to Australia in 1922. His father is also William Stewart Heard, but I cannot find any information on him.

Births at Aldershot barracks (Feb 09 Red)
I am having trouble tracing birth registrations. The people I am after appear in the 1901 census which shows the place of birth as Aldershot. I know the father was in the army and was very likely based there. However despite knowing the exact dates of birth searches of GRO have failed to show the births. Where can I find registration details of births at army barracks? I am looking at years 1897 and 1898. Any help greatly appreciated

My grandfather James Stewart was in the army around 1901, i have found a James Stewart listed in the 1901 census living at Aldershot Barracks a private aged 23, these facts match my research on James. Would anyone know what regiments were stationed at Aldershot in 1901 to help me in my research, i have a photo of him in uniform but dont know what his regiment was. Thanks

William Parker b 1861, Netherbury, Dorset was married to Ellen ? 1890. In 1901 census, William, Ellen and sons William & Harry living in Frimley Road, Ash Vale, William has his own coal merchant's business. William junior married in 1916 a Nellie Kerchey - they had 10 children, Nellie, Florence, William, John, Fred, Raymond, Ronnie, Dorothy, Doreen, Christine. Nellie was my wife's mother. Little known of other members. Seeking any info. about coal business, Nellie Kerchey and family, and above named Parker children.

My great Aunt was Nora Luck and her son John Luck was a football player in Basingstoke I believe married to Anne. Also Ron Bachalor my great Uncle had a daughter named Sally.
