My mother did a lot of research on the Walker family which I would be happy to share. My grandmother was Edith Annie Bull (nee Walker), and the first member of the Walker family was Rejoyce Walker, who moved to the village with four children.

I have a copy of the GWR Magazine Oct 1917,in it are listed, with small photo,s, 51 men who had perished in the war who were GWR employees,one of these being Corporal TOM HAWKINS service number, 19283, 5th Btn Wilts Regiment Kia 28-7-1917. TOM was a Boilermakers Helper in the Locomotive Works Swindon aged 25, the son of EMMA HAWKINS The Square Aldbourne,would a photocopy of the page be any good to anyone connected to this family,I have two uncles listed in it as well.
