Seeking birth/baptism details from Parish records for my g.grandfather Birtwell Sutcliffe. illegitimate son of Alice Sutcliffe. Born 10 Jan 1837 in Accrington, Lancs.(just before civil reg.) The 1841 and 1851 censuses show he and his mother were living with Abraham Birtwell at Union Street Accrington. Birtwell is a very unusual first name, could Abraham Birtwell have been his father? Birtwell Sutcliffe married Sara Handley 03/07/1858 in the Wesleyan Chapel Haslingden before he immigrated to NZ in 1859 on the "William Watson". I would also like to find out where/when his mother Alice Sutcliffe was born (around 1814-1819) and the names of her parents. Thanks. Margaret, Auckland NZ.

I am trying to find just when exactly, did my G.Grandmother, KATE COE die. The family originated in Desborough, Northants, but were resident in ALBERT STREET, Accrington on the 1911 census. The family comprised, Frederick and Kate plus 4 children :- May, Gladys, Leonard and Doris. Fred died in 1943 in Skipton. Kate eventually lived with Gladys and her family, whose name was JENNINGS. May became May Taylor and they all lived around Accrington. Neither of Kate's remaining grandchildren seem to know when she died,but I would dearly love to find out. Can anyone help, please?

Also looking for Mulrooney family Patric Gerald Mulrooney Married May Partlin in 1919 and became stepfather to the children above they lived at 32 Croft St Acrington. Acrington Pals. He had a son from a previous marrage ,name Patric James Mulrooney he had a relasonship with my grandma and produced my mum.

Looking for relatives or information about George (born 1872) and wife Alice (born 1876)Armstrong, who once lived in Avenue Parade, Accrington.Son and daughter were called Cyril(born 1905) and Eveline (born 1901). Eveline married Nicholas Bentley (born 1898)at the New Jerusalem Church,Accrington in 1919.As the Bentley family were local brewers, has anyone seen a gravestone for the Bentleys in the Parish Church graveyard? I am trying to find any information about Alice & Richard Prout and their daughters Joan & Edith (my 2nd Cousins). They all lived in Clayton Le Moors in Dale Street or very close to it. Alice was born in 1895 & Richard was born in 1900. Alice's maiden name was Holt. Possibly the daughter of John Holt 1870 and Mary Ann Pickering 1870. Joan born 1928 and Edith born 1932 ? Richard Prout was born out of wedlock to Eliza Ann Prout. Her parents were Edwin Williams Prout 1854 and Martha Emily Abraham 1856. Joan I believe married a Gareth ????. I have no idea what happened to Edith but believe she married someone who was in the Army. I would be very pleased to hear from anyone who might be able to throw some light on this family so that I can complete another portion of my family tree
