Hi im in desperate need of HELP my father was born in 1901 i always belived in berriew but i have his birth cetificate which states born frongoch brithdir where is this? his mother was Mary evans nee evans but the name of the father has been left blank again i understood from my father his name was thomas evans also the occupation of his father is blank but it does state mary was a farm labours wife which ties in with what i was always told by my father. my father had 8 siblings and i am also haveing trouble tracing any of thier births etc any help would be very welcome

Hi, Have been to Berriew church today seeking Edward Watkin 1856 -1884. There are 6 graves in a row just outside the front door, The 1st is our Edward and his wife, can't link into the other 5 thou, they must be related to be in a row but how? Does anyone else know anything about the Watkin family of Tregynon/ Lower Luggy, any help appreciated

I am trying to trace any descendants of my grandmother Laura Mills. She was born in Ferney? Berriew on 30.1.1894, parents were John and Elizabeth (nee Owen) Mills. I believe they had about 13 children altogether, 4 boys and 9 girls. Would appreciate any information on family, and whether Ferney was a house or road.

Williams in Berriew (Jan 08 Red)
Have just started tracing the Welsh line of my family history. Lucretia Williams approx 1885 is the daughter of Evan Williams approx 1855, and according to the marriage certificate he is the son of Evan Williams. I have been trying to find a census of the two Evan's together(1861 being the most obvious) but the only entry I can find lists a father aged 23 and sons aged 11 and 7, is it just my maths or has something gone wrong. Does anyone else know about this family? I can provide more details if anyone is interested.
