Elizabeth Hodgson nee Havelock
Elizabeth Hodgson was buried in Bishopwearmouth cemetery Apr. 12, 1858. She was the wife of Vincent Hodgson, potter. Her date of baptism was Nov. 20, 1817 in Guisbprough. Vincent's marriage record shows Amelia Havelock as his wife. The first 5 children's birth certificates show her as the mother. The sixth child, Hannah (my g-grandmother) shows Elizabeth Havelock as her mother. No burial record has been found for Amelia and no marriage certificate for Vincent and Elizabeth. Only Elizabeth was shown as his wife on the census returns. Elizabeth's burial record shows Vincent as her husband. I would like to know if Amelia and Elizabeth are one and the same person or if they were actually two different people.
I have no idea how large the cemetery is but if there is someone who lives near the cemetery and has occasion to walk around it looking at the stones, I would be grateful if they would keep an eye open for Elizabeth/Amelia's grave and let me know if the name 'Amelia" appears on it.
