Jane BRINDLE c1825
Searching for the birth/baptism of Jane somewhere in Essex. Her father's name was William. Jane was employed as a servant at Little Warley Lodge, before marrying Irish soldier William George from Warley Barracks in 1848. The couple then went out to India where William was a member of the East India Company of soldiers. Any help in tracing this couple back would be most appreciated. We have a possible sighting of William in the 1841 at St Mary, Carlisle, Cumberland, England with other family members, in the house of Elizabeth Matthews.
On my father's side - ancestors/descendants of George MORSE c1773 and Ann Clarke b1783 of Blakeney, Gloucestershire. I have the tree but not much family history. Also interested in the WRIGHT family from Caynham, Shropshire.
On my mother's side - Richard LEWIS b1836 Llanbadarn Fawr, Cardiganshire. Grandfather to Arsenal & Wales goalkeeper Dan Lewis b1902. Struggling with this family due to the rather common surname! May originally have come from Brecon.
Richard Lewis jnr b1876 Capel Bangor moved to Maerdy, S. Wales, married Ann Davies of Aberdare and had 15 children. There must be someone out there!
Descendants/ancestors of William Champion SMEED b1844 Dover, Kent.
I have quite a bit of info on this family if anyone wants to swap notes.
Descendants/ancestors of James ROBBINS bc 1810 Clapham, Surrey. Married Mary Ann Harris of Southwark in Camberwell in 1834.
