Hill family - Grimshaw Hall
Does anyone have any info on Grimshaw Hall and the Hill family that lived there? The 1841 census gives the address as Bank Heath, Winwick, Golborne. The head of the household in 1841 was Henry Hill (c1786-c1865). He was a widower by this time, having been married to Ann Fairclough (I think). They had at least 7 children, including Martha (1811-1883), from whom I am descended. Henry's father was also called Henry, and his mother was Betty Tilton.
