Laidlaw - Lead Miners late 1700's - Wanlockhead, Dumfriesshire
I am looking for information on the Laidlaw/Laidlay family, many of the men worked as Lead Miners. I think this was a common name in the area. The names I have are twins William and Ninian born 04/07/1799 and brother John born 03/01/1880. I am also looking for information on Isabella Laidlaw born 1786. Any parish records gratefully referred to please.. Thanks.

Laidlaw connections - Hawick, Roxburghshire
I am researching the antecedents and connections of the Laidlaw family of Hawick. I am specifically looking for details on two individuals:
* George BORROWMAN [or BORROMAN], possibly of Dalkeith, husband of Grace Laidlaw (b. 1815; d. 1897).
* Jane FISHER (b. 1794; d. 1844), married William Laidlaw (b. 1786; d. 1861) in 1815.
I'd be very grateful for details of parents, siblings, dates & places of birth and death (including sources, where available).
