I'm looking for help in finding a Finch family from Wigan.On the 1851 census Walmersley cum Shuttleworth is Ann Finch 24,Elizabeth Finch 20,Alice Finch 19,also Thomas (brother?)2 and Alice Ann 8week.all born Wigan.Elizabeth was my ggg grandmother.I have them on the 1841 with parents Thomas and Ann Finch.I think that Thomas (senior)died in Wigan in 1846 so cant be the father of Thomas junior 1849.I need to find out who Thomas 1849 and Alice Ann 1851 parents were.I've tried sites on the internet but they seem to be confusing and I cant seem to find out what happened to the family.Does anyone have any advice that would help me find Thomas and Alice Ann in 1861 onwards?

Have been looking for my illegitamate grandfather Alfred Finch b 1901 'mothers' line.He was born folkestone,she was born Clapton, her father named as William Finch farm bailiff. She married Mr Hatt 1916 and moved to Canada. Researching the Finch family: Thomas Finch (1776 - 1855) married Mary West (died 1845 aged 70)in 1812 at Capel; their children were Dorothy (1813 - 1840, later Mrs William Henham), Elizabeth (1820 - 1843), William 1815 - and Thomas 1818. Thomas junior married Amelia Hatch in 1842 at Ightham and died 1873. Children of Thomas and Amelia were Thomas (b and d 1843), George c 1845, Elizabeth c 1848, Catherine c 1849, William c 1850, Marshall 1852, Anna Maria 1855 and Edmund Thomas c 1857. Interested to learn of descendants.

William Finch b. abt. 1827 - Waltham St Lawrence, Berkshire
If anyone can help me find out who married William Finch I'd really appreciate it.
William was born abt. 1827 in Waltham St Lawrence. He married Jane before the 1851 Census as she appears with him on that.
If anyone has any other information on William & Jane Finch I'd appreciate that too. Jane was born at Whitchurch in Oxfordshire abt. 1826.
To date I only have one child born to them, Alice Finch, born 16 Jan 1858, also Waltham St Lawrence. If there were any other children I'd like to know who they may have been.

I am researching the ancestors and descendants of James Finch/Thomasin Way who married 23 Apr 1778 at Clovelly. I am a descendant of their son Robert and am seeking his marriage to Catherine --- about 1800. This couple had two children baptized at Clovelly and Robert died there in 1809. Catherine then married John Tucker in 1812 at Clovelly and moved to Welcombe.
