Eliza Eden born 1805 wife of William Wilkinson. - East Cowton, Yorkshire, North Riding
Eliza's parents were Abraham Eden born approx 1770 and Elisabeth Tewart born 1764 East Cowton christened 16 March 1764 (daughter of Ralph and Anne Tewart).
Abraham and Elizabeth married 15 October 1789 East Cowton. Their other children were James born 18 July 1790 East Cowton christened 27 July 1790 East Cowton and John born 1803 East Cowton christened 19 June 1803 East Cowton. Eliza was christened 11 July 1805 East Cowton. Their mother may have died some time after Eliza's birth as Abraham remarries to Anne Metcalfe 28 May 1815 and they have a daughter Mary christened 19 December 1815.

Eden/Gomm , Charlbury - Charlbury, Oxfordshire
I am looking for more information on Harriet Gumm (b. 1832, d. 1879) who married William Eden (b.1827,d.1900 in England)in 1853 in England and had the following children: Francis, Charles, Edwin, Edward, William Thomas and Eliza, Harriet, James, Henry and Fredrick, most born in Blenheim, Woodstock, Oxfordshire. Eden family extensive through Charlbury area and don't know if Gumm family was also.

Emmanuel Eden - Nafferton, Yorkshire, East Riding
Emmanuel and Mary (nee Helstrip) Eden were butchers in Nafferton around 1870. He was sometime Methodist Preacher. I am their great grandson and would appreciate any news of them or their descendents.

Looking for the father of Eleanor Eden, married Thomas Gibbon. Father is listed as William Eden, schoolmaster of Falkirk, Stirling, Scotland.Thought to be married about 1795. Known Children William 30.01.1801, Elizabeth 17.12.1803, Ebenezer 02.04.1806 all baptised in Newcastle on Tyne on 21.12.1806.

Eden, Flintoff - Whorlton, Yorkshire, North Riding
Looking for descendents of Benjamin Eden and his wife Mary nee FLINTOFF who married at Whorlton on 10th July 1815. Their children who are known or believed to have survived into adulthood were: Benjamin (baptised 18/6/1817), Hannah (26/12/1819), Mary Ann (14/11/1825), Jane (12th October 1828), John (2/10/1831), George (18/9/1834), Elizabeth (12/9/1837). It appears that Mary Ann had an illegtimate daughter, Mary, in 1845 who was living with her grandparents at the time of the 1851 census and with her widowed grandmother and an aunt at the time of the 1861 one. Of Benjamin and Mary's children: Mary Ann married Samuel HEBRON at Whorlton in 1849 and migrated to Middlesbrough; Jane married Charles HALL in 1850 and seems to have remained in the Whorlton area; and John married (1) Mary NICHOLSON (c1840 - 1861) and (2) Hannah MASON nee HARTAS in 1865 before himself dying in 1871. At least one of John's children, Benjamin born in 1869, survived to adulthood and married Sarah Ann DANIEL in 1897. In the 1901 census they are shown living in Butlers Marston in Warwickshire where John was a gardener.

Eden, Flintoff, Hebron, Lee, Ovington - Whorlton, Yorkshire, North Riding
Researching Eden and the other above names in and around Whorlton before 1850.
Mary Ann Eden, baptised on 14th November 1825, the daughter of Benjamin Eden, a weaver at Potto, married Samuel HEBRON, tailor of Hutton Rudby, at Whorlton on 23 June 1849.
Her parents were Benjamin Eden and Mary FLINTOFF who married at Whorlton on 10 July 1815. Benjamin and Mary were born in 1790 and 1793, the former at Whorlton and the latter at Osmotherley.
Benjamin was the son of Benjamin Eden (b Hutton Rudby,c1757) and Ann LEE (b Whorlton, 1765).
Mary was the daughter of George FLINTOFF (b Kirby Sigston in 1753), and Susanna OVINGTON (b Whorlton in 1758), the daughter of Henry OVINGTON, a yeoman.
