Ruth Eade - Framfield, Sussex
While in New Zealand recently we found in a museum a sampler worked by Ruth Eade of Framfield School, aged 12, dated 1839. There is no Framfield in New Zealand so the museum staff thought it must be from the English Framfield. The 1861 census shows a Ruth Eade of the right age,and she seems to have married Mr Ware of Uckfield who owned the brickworks in Newtown. However we can't find any NZ connection so far.
