Martha Kaye - Notts/Lancs/Yorks - Nottingham
Looking for details of Martha KAYE who married William Calar at St Marys Nottingham in October 1765.
Their grandson William Calar (b Nottingham in 1795)was the landlord of a pub in central Manchester in the 1830s. He was my g-g-g-grandfather.
Any information on Martha & William very gratefully received.

William Calar (Manchester or Nottingham) - Manchester
Looking for info on William Calar (b 1795/6). Claimed to be bastard son of Lister-Kaye family (Notts area) but I can find no evidence. William claimed he was born in Manchester but Nottingham is also a possibility. He married Harriet (Harriott) TURNER in Manchester in 1823 and they had 2 daughters (Sophia b1829, d1846) and Ann(e)(b1825)who married Philip WOOD (my great great-grandfather)in Eccles, near Manchester in Nov 1845 and went to live in Derbyshire. Any information on Manchester Calar family or about the elusive William Calar very welcome.
