michael Cain - Howden-le-Wear
My grandmother Margaret Cain married Michael Sullivan 16 Sep. 1899 at the church of "Our Lady Immaculate and Saint Cuthbert" at Crook County Durham and gave her address as The Square, Howden le Wear, and her father was Michael Cain. In the 1901 census a Michael Cain was at the same address with daughters Ellen and Julie, son John A and grandaughter Mary Cain. I am having great difficulty in finding the name of Michael's wife and the birthdate of my grandmother Margaret. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am interested in tracing details of families of Thomas Cain and his wife Mary ?, both born in Ballinlough Cty Roscommon. They married and went to live in Blackburn,Lancashire, England and appear in the 1881 census for the first time. Thomas was born in 1858 and his wife Mary was born in 1854. Thomas was my husband's Great Grandfather, and was an Irish Catholic. If anyone can assist me to trace any ancestors I would be very grateful.

Cain or Keane - Milltown
Sarah Cain, daughter of Patrick Cain/Keane and Elizabeth ?Cunningham, was born c1837 at Derryane, a townland in the parish of Tartaraghan (later Milltown) Co Armagh. Sarah emigrated to Sydney Australia on the ship Kate, arriving on 23 Dec 1856. She married William Thom from Aberdeen in 1857 in Pitt Town NSW. Is anyone else researching this Cain/Keane family?

Direct ancestor ABRAHAM Cain was baptised at St.Mary the Virgin at Sunbury On Thames in 1787 and married JANE WATTS in Richmond in 1809. Possible Cain links with Richmond due to marriage. My paternal great grandfather was William Cane or Cain or Caine. He was a shoemaker, born in Bristol c 1840. He is shown in the 1881 census as living in Whitechapel, aged 41, with a wife Mary, aged 37 years. I wish to find information re his birthand his parents, including his mother's maiden name.
