Aikman brothers to America 1700's - Arbroath, Angus
Alexander Aikman was born in 1690 in the Arbroath area of Scotland and younger brother, JOhn, was born in 1695. Alexander came to America circa 1731 where he settled in New Jersey. John, wife Jean and children William, Agnes, Janet, Margaret and Alecander came to New Jersey to settle around 1740. I am trying to find the parents or other relatives of Alex and John - also to determine the maiden name of my grandmother, Jean Aikman. Do I have cousins in Arbroath or elsewhere in Scotland? I think so - help me find them. Please! I'll be happy to share information with other Aikman descendants.
