Adey family Wednesfield - Wednesfield, Staffordshire
My great grandparents George (born 1839) and Elizabeth (nee Jones)both came from wednesfield. I can find no record of their families from the 1851 census ( George was in lodgings by then) and Elizabeth Jones was a pretty common name! They had about 6 children including my grandfather Frank born about 1876 - he married Florence Hubball( she was one of 13 children) from Taylor st Wednesfild in 1901.They had 2 girls Mary and Gladys and my dad Frank born in 1909. Can anyone throw any light on gerorge and Elizabeths family please?

In the 1881 Census they lived at 84 Smith Street, 1891 Census 15 James Street and in 1901 some family members lived at 1 back of 120 Guilford Street, all in Aston. In the 1881 Census Maria's brother William Adey(aged 24 Castor) was boarding with the family. Maria died in 1897 aged 50. Any information to help me discover who my gg/grandparents are would be appreciated.

Poole families - Poole, Dorset
I am researching the families of Adey/Addy/Adie/Ady, Strong, Carter, Coombes and Guy. My Adey line originated in Burley, Hants and came to Poole when Stephen Adey built the Blue Boar(now Lord Nelson) pub on the Quay around 1750. His three sons Stephen, Thomas and William started out as mariners and entered the civic life of Poole. Thomas, my ancestor, married Elizabeth Strong, whose father owned the Dolphin brewery in Market Street, and whose mother Elizabeth nee Carter, was from the ropemaking family of that name from Hamworthy. As far as I can be sure there is no connection to the later Carters of Poole pottery. I would be interested to learn of anyone with connections to these families.

Adey family - Burley, Hampshire
William Adey Innholder lived at Black Bush, Burley. His will of 1720 stated that he was to be buried at Ringwood and named all his children including my 4x gt grandfather Stephen then aged just six.
