Adcock - Prittlewell, Essex
I am looking for Jane Adcock who was born in 1845-46 and died on 29th March 1887. She was the wife of my Great Grandfather who was William Smith and he lived to be 100 and lived in Prittlewell in the old cottage which is now the Navy place. He was born in April 1842 and died in February 1943 and is buiried in North Road cemetary.

Adcock - Sheffield, Yorkshire, West Riding
Emily Adcock previously Wright. maiden name unknown. In 1901 she had my grandad George Kerridge as her adopted son. Her own son was called George Wright..known as titchy judd wright in the family. They lived in Leader road. Does anyone have any information about this family please.

Adcock KING SQUIRE GREEN HOLME - Linton, Cambridgeshire
The 2nd child of Susannah (nee KING) & Robert Adcock was Robert Adcock, born 5 Mar, 1783, bapt. April at Linton. He was a Widower aged 68, a farmer, in the 1851 Census, nd died 1854 at Saffron Walden. He had 3 known daughters:-Harriet Adcock married Thomas GREEN, Grocer; Emma married 11 July 1838 Richard SQUIRE of Nosterfield End, (..."in high style at the Quaker Meeting House. There were 6 or 8 carriages..." Barnabus WEBB 1760-1846, the Diarist of the Haverhill area";) Priscilla Adcock married ...HOLME. All 3 received bequests from their Aunts Susannah Adcock d. 1868 Will (Archdeaconry Court of Sudbury Ref. 6.534 & Elizabeth WESTON nee Adcock, no issue.Will proved 1866.KJI

Adcock MARTIN KING - Linton, Cambridgeshire
The 7th and final child of Susannah (nee KING) & Robert Adcock was Harriet Adcock, born 1800 in Linton (died 1892) She married 2 June 1829 Henry MARTIN (..."married with great splendour, Dr MARTIN gave Henry away...they had two postchaises to carry them to the church...".."It was a fine day..." Barnabus WEBB, 1760-1846, Diarist of the Haverhill area.) Their children were:- Harriet MARTIN, Frances Elizabeth MARTIN, Mary Ann MARTIN, Mary Ann MARTIN, Henrietta MARTIN, Henry John MARTIN. All received bequest in their Aunt Susannah Adcock's Will, 1868 Archdeaconry Court of Sudbury Ref. 6.534

The 5th child of Susannah (nee KING) and Robert Adcock was George King Adcock, born 13 June 1790, bapt. July 1790 and bur. 14 Jan. 1791. Their 6th child was Priscilla Mary Adcock born 23 Sept. 1794, bapt. 22 Apr. 1795 at Linton, married William BURROWS of Saffron Walden, brewer on 9 Sept. 1828 in London. Their children were Elizabeth Weston BURROWS, George King BURROWS Priscilla BURROWS and Algernon BURROWS. KJI

Adcock WESTON - Linton, Cambridgeshire
Elizabeth Adcock b. 28 Nov. 1786 was the 4th child of Susannah (nee KING) and Robert Adcock. She married 1 Dec. 1807 Daniel WESTON of St Botolph, Aldgate, London, and of The Minories, City of London, Linen Draper. They had no issue. Elizabeth's interesting will was proved 1866. KJI

Adcock HART - Linton, Cambridgeshire
John Adcock, the 3rd child of Susannah (nee KING) and Robert Adcock was bapt. 17 Oct. 1784 at Linton, and married at Linton 11 Jan. 1825 Susanna HART who had been b 27 Feb. 1797 and died 4 Mar. 1878, being bur. at Linton. Their eldest was a dau. Susanna/Anna Adcock b. 28 Feb. 1825. She was an assistant to her younger sister Louisa Adcock in the Ladies Boarding School she operated in Linton. Louisa was the 2nd child and born 15 April 1830. Both sisters are believed to have been spinsters. Robert Adcock born 28 Nov. 1835 was the 3rd child. He is believed to have had a son, Robert Adcock who lived at Hildersheim, Bracondale, Norwich.He is believed to have been a conmmercial traveller for Colman Mustard & Starch in the 1881 Census. The 4th child was John King Adcock, b. 2 June 1841 and buried 30 April 1842. KJI

AdcockS IN BRAMCOTE - Bramcote, Nottinghamshire
My ancestors the Adcocks came from Bramcote, Notts. My grt grandfather, John Adcock b 1834 was a master baker. The Adcocks were a very large family who as far as I know originated in Leicestershire.
