Looking for Acklam in Sculcoates - Sculcoates, Yorkshire, East Riding
My grandmother was an Acklam and, I believe came from Sculcoates. Her father's name was Henry Acklam. I have no further information. Any help would be very much appreciated.

If anyone has any information about the family of Acklam please contact me. I have researched my family to James Acklam b.1782 in Fridaythorpe. His grandson William Acklam b. 1857 moved to Beverley by 1901 with his nephew William Acklam b.1889.

My Grandfather,James Acklam b/1894,married Eva Maude Rainton,1916.during the second world war lived at 7 Swan Hill Road,they had three sons, Harry,Jimmy,and kenny.James worked for Clarkes mineral waters.Any information about the family,or photos,would be appreciated,especially concerning Eva,my Grandmother,as she died before I was born.They used to favour the Angel public house on North Street Scarborough.
