I am interested in a John David and Ellen Hughes and wondered if any one could possibly help me with a query I have reguarding them. They were my husbands Grandparents. He was born according to 1911 Census in Bridgend in 1866 married Ellen Hughes 1866 who birth place is on this 1911 Census as Camarthen My mother in law now deceased Elizabeth Beatrice David born 1903 was his 3rd child. There were other children the older ones being Annie David 1893 (born in Barry) May David 1896 (born in Barry) John known as Jack 1904 (born in Maesteg) and William 1910 (born in Cardiff) On my mother in laws birth certificate it states that she was born in 14 Belle View Street,Penrhiwceiber,Llanwonno, Mountain Ash. But then it states the name and address of the Informer as John David (father) 78,Grove Road, Bridgend. His occupation at this time 1904 was an Insurance agent. We know at one time in my mother in laws life as a teenager they were all living in Eyre Street ,Splott, Cardiff his occupation then was a coal trimmer this is as much as I know . We were led to believe that some of the children were half siblings to my mother in law this would I imagine refer to Annie and May David who in the 1950s lived in the Fairwater area Annie never married so maintained the name of David but May David ended up a May Philips These siblings mentioned were all Aunts and Uncles of my Husband Peter just a little more information and maybe I can make a start on this line in our tree.Do any of these people or addresses seem familiar to anyone ? If they do would you please contact me .Regards Jean of Nottingham
