He married Elizabeth Watkiss in 1845 in Liverpool though their son William James was born in Hawarden 1846.I have no other details on him. William does not appear to be on the '51 or'61 but on the 1871 is living in Stoke upon Trent. He is now married to a Mary Taylor nee Green. Where did William go? Answers please!!

Lancelot Purcell and wife Sarah Edwards had 9 children. Lancelot was born Westbury Shrops 1731 and died Madeley Shrops in 17 Mar 1805. One of theiir sons was Samuel Purcell born Madeley Shrops 1762 who then moved to Hawarden Flints. He was an engineer nad married Elizabeth Gi(o)rton. They once lived at Mancot Flints. They had many children including a son Samuel Lancelot Purcell baptized 3 may 1795 at Mancot who then married Martha Bruen. I have the rest of the family tree of Samuel Purcell of hawarden and many of his descendants.

Can anyone help me with My Podmore Family ? My Forebear was WILLIAM PODMORE , who married Mary Lee of Ewloe in 1743 and Margaret Jones of Broad Lane in 1746........ George Lovatt was born in Hanley, Staffordshire in 1820. Hannah Lovatt nee Evans was born in Llanynys, Denbighshire in 1833/4. They were married in 1846 at Holy Trinty chapel, Gwernafield nr Mold, Flintshire. They moved from the Mold area and on the 1871 census they are living in Bagillt Road Greenfield, Holywell. They had many children which I have found their birthdays, but I can't find the birth for Jane Jones Lovatt age 6 (1864/1865) She is my wife's Great grandmother on her mother' side. On 1881 census, George Lovatt is living with his daughter Margaret and her husband Richard Williams (after the loss of his wife Hannah in 1875) at Glan y Don Cottage, Whitford. I have checked all records for many years but still can,t find and I know there are lovatt's living in this area, please help, Thankyou

Tower of London,1810.(family worked within the Tower) Maria and Edward had a son,Edward Angell Roberts,b 1836,Lambeth.We would love any ,even small,piece of info: on Edward.(I see from the census,that there are many Edward Roberts in the Holywell born in the same year,difficult to find out WHICH is 'our' Edward!) I have found the death of an Edward Bailey in 1840 in Holywell but can't make any conections.

I'm looking for birth and marriage of John Owens. John was born c1800 Flint and later married Sarah Hughes b1808 Halkyn. I've trawled through the Halkyn and Flint Parish records, and although I found Sarah's baptism, I couldn't find John....and I couldn't fine their marriage. I can only think they may have married in a surrounding Parish, maybe Holywell. If anyone has access to Marriage Registers for Holywell, and could look that up for me, I'd be grateful! I would think they'd have married between 1835 - 1837 (first child was born 1837) Thanks! Sue

I am interested in John HARVEY who was a schoolmaster in Holywell in 1861 then schoolmaster in Carmel in 1871. His wife was Mary JONES (born ABT 1835) daughter of John JONES (born ABT 1808 Joiner and Publican - Anchor and Bell & Antelope) and Margaret. Mary JONES married Thomas MALLEY after John HARVEY's death.

ANN THOMAS BORN HOLYWELL - Holywell, Treffynnon
In 1855 an Ann Thomas, age 19, spinster, father Thomas Thomas a Joiner by trade married a Samuel Jackson a Paper Maker age 22 his father William Jackson a Maker Up. Samuel was born Cheshire, could be Stockport. I cannot find them on the 1861 despite exhaustive searching but have found Ann Jackson (census states born Holywell, Wales)on the 1871 at 8 Luton Street, Kirkdale, Liverpool with two children, Elizabeth Jackson age 5 born Manchester and Samuel Jackson age 6 born Liverpool. Census says she was a Fireman's wife. Another son John was born 1872 in Manchester and his birth certificate says Mother Ann Jackson (nee Thomas). Any help in identifying the parents of Ann Thomas or finding her on the 1861 census (hopefully with Samuel) would be wonderful ! She had died before the 1881 census and Samuel had remarried. Joseph was born around Holywell/Halkin abt 1827, emigrated to Australia where his daughter (Mary) married one of my ancestors. I have viewed the IGI records and the "Cocking Index" of the Clwyd Family History Society with some success. BUT, I'd like to be able to be more certain that I have the right person. Anyone with info about a Joseph GREEN who left for Australia would be appreciated.

HI all, am seeking info about Robert JONES (b. Hollywell 1823), bricklayer, married Emma WILLIAMS, (b. Welshpool 1826) at Liverpool in 1847, children Elizabeth, (b.1848 at Stafford), Mary Ann, (b.1850 at Walsall), Alfred (b.1853 at Wolverhampton) and Thomas (b.1861 at Wolverhampton) Robert was a bricklayer in Blakenhall ( W/hampton) employing 3 men, so possibly a good deal of his work may still exist today. Its difficult for me to find out as I live in Aus. Thomas (my g.father) became a tailor, married Pheobe BIRCH at Bilston in 1881 and emigrated to Aus. in 1884 Any info about JONES of Hollywell, or W/hampton muchly appreciated. - cheers David
