Roderick Ross - Portmahomack
My greatgrandfather?, Roderick Ross emigrated from Portahomack to Canada - probably in the early to mid 1800s. Any information about him would be appreciated.

Ochiltree, Oliver, Williamson.Tarbet Church (near Portmahomack), Chesterstone Farm (Fife) - Portmahomack
My Grandfather James Ochiltree married my Grandmother Hannah nee Oliver at Tarbet Church in 1896. They then lived at Chesterstone Farm, Upper Largo in Fife and emigrated to Western Australia in 1911. They had four sons Andrew, James, Edward, and Willie. Sadly young Willie died at Chesterstone Farm in 1910 age 4.They also had 3 daughters' Isabella (my mother), Mary and Hannah. There are many descendants in Western Australia

James Urquhart, bn 1855 at Urquhart, Logie West, married Annie McLennan, bn 1851. Their children were James, bn 1885, Margaret, bn 1883, William, bn 1889, Roderick, bn 1881, George, bn 1881, Aelxander, bn 1887, Christina, bn 1889, Annie, bn 1885 (married Sinclair Johnstone). James Urquhart (bn 1855), was the son of George Urquhart, bn 1829 @ Inverness, and Christina MacDonald, bn 1829 @ Urquhart. George and Christina also had Alexander and George (who married Barbara Mackenzie). George Urquhart, bn 1829, was the son of John Urquhart and Margaret Grey. I am looking for any information on any of these people and their descendants / ancestors.

Janet Ann Campbell, bn 1863 at Knockbain, married Duncan MacGillivray. She was the daughter of Roderick Campbell and Jessie Urquhart (bn 1841 at Knockbain). Janet's siblings were Harold, Alexander, Roderick and Isabella. Janet's grandparents were John Campbell and Ann McDonald. Can anyone help me find some more information about this family?

I am seeking information on the Davidson family of Cromarty. Roderick Davidson was born at Cromarty in 1809. He married Ann Fairburn in 1827 at Cromarty. They had five children, John, William, Jane, Roderick and Jemina. Roderick (1838-1863) married Harriet Hindmarsh (1841-925) in 1860. They had one son Foster John Davidson 1862-1928 ( my wife's grandfather) who is buried in Brisbane Australia. Any information on the family is appreciated

They had seven children , William , Augustus, Andrew, Alexander, Ann, Harry and Margaret Ann, my wife's GG grandmother. Margaret Ann married Barnabas Hindmarsh in 1832 at Cromarty.
