Death of underage soldier
- Glasgow
There is a story in my family that I had an uncle who died in WW1. He was said to have lied about his age so that he could join up. I have been unable to trace him and would be glad of any available information or help. His name was Lowry (spelling?) Todd. He was probably born in or around Dunmurry, Belfast, 1895-1900, son of John Todd and Florence Evelyn Wilson. The family moved to Glasgow about 1914. I don't know if he joined an Irish or a Scottish regiment.

The family were in Ryde in 1861 and 71 and all but John were still there in 1881. (John appears to still be living though, as Maria is shown as being married). All appear to be missing from the 1891 English census. Family info leads me to believe they may have moved to the Aberdeen or Glasgow area. Both John and George were hairdressers/barbers.
