Searching for any information on my ggg grandmother Elizabeth Bridget Muldoon.She supposedly came out to Australia with her family and married John Hoad. They lived at Carcoar in N.S.W Australia and ran the Rising Sun Inn. She died in 1898 and is buried at Lyndhurst cemetery.

Looking for any information on James Morris, who Captained the Steamboat Tempest for the Anchor Line (offices at 51 Union Street, Glasgow) and whom was lost at sea, after leaving New York Feb 13 1857 for the return journey to Glasgow. Residence on a will registered October 1859 is shown as John Street, Glasgow and widow is recorded as Barbara Morris. Does anyone know where and when James was born and who were his parents? I am looking for some help with a partial entry I have from a trascript from a family tree sheet from an old family bible, the entry has an Alexandra Campbell (sister to a Thomas? and Barbara Campbell) married to ? Cowie, 2nd Officer of Royal Charter (was this the actual name of a ship?) lost at sea. It would appear that Alexandra and Cowie had at least two children, a daughter named Jemina Gasgoine and a son named Peter who may have emigrated to New Zealand, any help would be much appreciated.

According to a transcript from a family bible my g-g-g-grandmother - a Barbara Campbell, whose daughter Barbara Campbell Morris emigrated to New Zealand - was a sister? of Thomas Campbell, Scottish Poet buried at Westminister Abbey. I am searching for information about my great great great grandparents. They were David Semple, b. 1798 and his wife, Elizabeth Telfer, b. 1801. They had six children: James, William, John, Anna (m. John Stewart), Lizzie (m. George Mein) and Robert T. Semple b. 15 Sept 1830 in Lanark Shire, Glasgow, Scotland and his wife, Mary Weir Wyper (Wiper), b. 8 September 1834 and married March 5, 1858 in Stravon Avondale, Lanarkshire, Scotland on Kirk Street.
Mary Wypers father was Alexander Wyper (Wiper) who died about 1902 in Lanarkshire and her mother, Elizabeth Finlay. Alexander and Elizabeth had five children: Janet Wyper b. 1859 (m. John Wands), James Wyper b. 1836 d. after 1905 (m. Janet Mein), Elizabeth (m. Mathew Stewart), Agnes (m. William Baxter) and Mary Weir (m. Robert T. Semple).
I have photographs and letters sent to Mary Wyper Semple in the United States and would like to share these and make connections with distant relatives.

Looking for info on the McGill family. The family were living at 174 Govan Street, Glasgow at the time of 1891 census. Parents Joseph (1853), born Glasgow and Mary (1853),nee McKenna, born Ireland, children Ann (1883), Susan (1885), Joseph (1887), Mary (1887), Charles (1889), William (1892)(GG Grandad)all were born in Glasgow. Joseph's parents were Charles McGill and Ann Kerr and Mary's parents were Charles McKenna and Ann Gilhooly. Joseph was stationed at Edinburgh castle at the time of their wedding in 1881. William went on to marry Isabella Patterson Patrick in Edinburgh in 1917. Death of underage soldier

There is a story in my family that I had an uncle who died in WW1. He was said to have lied about his age so that he could join up. I have been unable to trace him and would be glad of any available information or help. His name was Lowry (spelling?) Todd. He was probably born in or around Dunmurry, Belfast, 1895-1900, son of John Todd and Florence Evelyn Wilson. The family moved to Glasgow about 1914. I don't know if he joined an Irish or a Scottish regiment.

My grandmother Agnes Reekie Niven b. May 26/1875 Linktown Abbotshall, d/o Angus Niven & Mary Chalmers Wallace married Nov. 20/1896 to her first cousin Robert Angus Niven b. Apr. 24/1875 s/o John Niven and Rebecca Arbuckle. Robert was a trainer with the football club Ashfield.
They and all their children save for Gilbert John Craig Niven moved to Canada.
Gilbert Niven married Isabella Campbell Douglas and they had three children - Marion, Agnes & Robert. We have lost touch with this family, and would like to reconnect. Looking for information about my Great Grandfather Hugh Gunn, born June 22nd 1859, Glasgow. He had two brothers, John born 1856 and Thomas born 1866 and a sister, Mary born 1864. I am looking for information regarding my great grandmother Jemima (Jemmima/Jemina) Mackie. The only clues I have are from her Death Certificate which tells me her occupation was domestic duties and she was 74 when she died on 20 Feb 1938 in Brisbane Qld. Australia.
She was born in Glasgow, Scotland and was resident in Australia for 68 years (birth 1864?).

They stopped off in Barrow in Furness and Walton (near Carnforth) before settling in Fleetwood.
