CAMPBELL-MORRIS
- Bridgeton
Looking for any help with birthdates for the four eldest children of James Morris (ships captain) and Barbara Campbell address on most records is recorded as 80 John Street, Glasgow, the birth certificate for Agnes in 1855 records her as the eighth child with two sons living, this would I assume be James Houston and John Morris who I have recorded on a family tree bible emigrating to New Zealand along with their sister Barbara, there is one son listed as deceased who I don't have a name or date of birth for either. Other children are Zina Mary (who appears to be the deceased daughter listed on Agnes birth certificate) and Mary who I have a death certificate for in 1857, have not tracked down any more records for Agnes to date.

Drysdale
- Bridgeton
So far I have found out quite a bit about my 2xgreat grandfather James Drysdale except his birth details.I know his father was Thomas and mother Jane Simmers, but no record of James'birth has come to light.
His parents seem to have moved over from Kinross to work in the Cotton industry in the 1810s and I am also searching for details of them.
James and his wife Margaret had 8 children of whom one died between 1861 and 1871 or she may have gone into service.Throughout his life James lived in Bridgeton eventually dieing in 1871 of Phthysis,a lung disease prevalent in the cotton weaving industry.
Does this research ring any bells with anyone? All information about the area at that time would help especially about the cotton industry.Thanks.

CHESTER or CHESTERS of Glasgow
- Calton
This is my paternal ancestry.
I have a tree dating back to 1836 with the marriage of Edward CHESTERS to Elizabeth MURDOCH in 1861, Bridgeton, Scotland. If any one is related you might be interested to know that there were cousin marriages and multiple marriages taking place. Am in touch with a "cousin".
It seems that these folk may have originated in N. Ireland, though they could have gone there for work.
Inevitably the line might be traced to England, bearing in mind the city of the same name.
Would be interested in sharing information with anyone directly descended
