Would appreciate any assistance in tracing parents of my gg gfather John Cook (b. abt 1803, Parkhead, Lanarkshire). John married (abt 1824) Jean/Jane Cullen (b. abt 1802, Barony, Lanarkshire - Parents: James Cullen and Mary Kerr). John was a gardenermost of his life and lived at Parkhead until at least 1834. Their 13th child George (my g gfather) was born at Hogganfield, Barony, Lanarkshire on 16 Jun 1844.

Thomas Bonnar (Glasgow Celtic) - Parkhead
My geat grandfather lived in Westmuir Street, Parkhead and was one of the early Celtic Trainers in the days before they had a manager (in the 1890's) Found the family on the 1891 census. Thomas is shown in a photo with the team in the celtic histories but no information is included about him. His occupation is shown as miner and I think from family lore some of his family were involved in the Blantyre Pit disaster. His son,Francis, my grandfather was a hamper boy for the team. Would love to hear from anyone who knows anything about Tommy.

my Gt x 2 Grandparents were both born in Rutherglen. They were Robert Duncan (b.1822 - parents unknown)and Jane Anderson (b.1823 - parent John Anderson and Elizabeth Forest, I think) Their children were jane, William, margaret, John, Andrew, Catherine (or Christina) and Robert. The men were coal miners in either the Stonelaw Pit or Old Farme pit.
