I have John Scotland married Margaret Shaw 12.1.1777 @ Kinross, Scotland. They had 5 children. Their daughter, Margaret Scotland, born 20.4.1781 married David Cairns in 1823 @ Kinross, Scotland. Together they had 4 children all born at Orwell, Kinross, Scotland.

I'm descended from Charlotte WATERSTONE/WATERSON who was born 5 Sep 1772, Kinross; baptised 6 Sep 1772, Kinross; daughter of William WATERSON and Barbara WALLACE. Charlotte WATERSTONE married James CHALMERS in circa 1797, though to date I haven't been able to find their marriage. Neither have I found a marriage for William WATERSON and Barbara WALLACE. Does anyone else connect to any of the above?

Alexander Reddy or Readdie of Cuthil c1650-1700 (My GGGGGGGGF. Children included David Reddy 1681-1752. He married Issobell (Isobel)Ried 1687-1746 (My GGGGGGGP). Married 1708 in Orwell. Children included James Reddy, Reddie or Readdie 1723- (My GGGGGGF). He married Margaret Small. Children included David Reddie 1748-1822 (My GGGGGF); Thomas Readdie 1764 m Elizabeth Low; & Ebenezer Readdie 1768-1816 m Catherine Robertson (builder in Perth). David Reddie or Ready d.1822 (My GGGGGF)& Ann Eddie (My GGGGGP)married 1780 in Strathmiglo, Fife. Children include John Reddie (Ready) b1782 Orwell (My GGGGF), & Andrew Reddie of Blairhead 1792-1832 m Janet Paton. John Reddie or Ready 1782 –1871 and Elisabeth Thomson (My GGGGP)married by 1805. They had 9 children born/baptised in Orwell 1805-1822, including the 8th born - James Reddie b1819 (my GGGF) 1841 census – John Reddie Esq, proprietor and farmer, Cuthil, and 3 daughters. Also probably his 2 unmarried sisters, and agricultural labourers Thomson and Eddie who may have been related. 1851 census – John Reddie, justice of peace, landed prop. farmer of 210 acres employing 6 labourers. 1861/1871 - he and daughter Elizabeth had moved to Cuthil Cottage. Cuthil is now Cuthill Towers. James Reddie 1819-1871 and Caroline Susannah Scott c1826-1867 (My GGGP) Married 1849 in Clerkenwell. He was an Admiralty civil servant and they lived in Kensington and Fulham. 10 children including Edward John Reddie b1853 (My great-grandfather). Trying to find links to Readdies of Netherhall who may also be related; also James Reddie c1796-1849, wright in Kinross, m.Ann Bonthron; John Reddie & Janet Johnstone, m.1825; Alexander Readdie & Chatharine Anderson (children born 1796-1806); Andrew Reddie & Margaret Tod, m.1707; John Reddie, master of Perth Poorhouse and Linlithgow.
