James Kidd /1801

Searching for any information on James Kidd born 01.08.1801 Fife he was deported to Aust. 14.04.1830 he was appointed to the Sydney Botantical Gardens as a gardener and later on Superintendent, he married Mary Ann Must 20.02.1836 and had 7 children he died 15.02.1867

My great grand father Robert Kinnaird was born 1820 in Ireland and he died in 1890 in Invercargill New Zealand on his death cert it only has the surname Kinnaird ,no first name for his father and his fathers occupation is given as Stonemason I am hopeing someone out there knows of my great great grand parents or Roberts sibblings my grand father James Kinnaird was born in Cirvan Scotland 1848.

Proudfoot-Millie-Ross

Seeking contact with any members of the above families. Proudfoot is my line. Believed descendants in Overton Mains area and Strathmiglo. Many members worked in Kirkaldy lino factory.
Proudfoot family originated in Perth. Two surviving brothers were James and David Crawford plus a sister Sophia Hay who was single.
There were a number of masons in the Proudfoot line and David became
surveryor of Edinburgh. A daughter, Gracie Turner Proudfoot was my
grandmother. I have recently been loaned photos of descendants of James which include his wife Catherine Millar. They married in 1896. These families are extensive and help is much needed. Thankyou.

Looking for pre- 1871 info on Donald Cameron born Scotland 1818 - 1822. Moved to London before 1861. No record in 1841 Scotland census. In 1871 lived Kensington, employed as Hammerman (Blacksmith). Married to Mary, born 1821-26 in Scotland, working as a laundress. Children Mary (born 1857), Robert (born 1860) and Alexander (born 1864) + Paulina (born 1874) a scholar. Donald died (aged 69) in 1888 death registered Chelsea Q1 1888.

His parents were James Patrick, b.about1783 and Helen Thomson, born about 1775, his grandparents were James Patrick, b.about 1748 and Janet Chalmers, b.about 1728.
