I have traced my family tree to Andrew Smith born in Halbeath 1799, andrew Married Elizabeth Black in 1824. The decendants of the family moved to Tranent in east lothian, to work in the coal mine as the were colliers in Halbeath, I dont know when Andrew died as he is missing in the first census I found Elizabeth shown as the head of the family, with all of the chldren.
