Robert McKendry died in Tranent in 1920. His wife Anne Redpath McKendry died January 10, 1955 in Tranent. Robert and Anne were married in Tranent in 1897. The only other thing we know about them is that they had a son. His name was James McKendry. James married Agnes Syme in April 1922 in Edinburgh. Agnes died February 1938, in Tranent. They had at least five children. They had five children: Mary, Nan, Lillie, Agnes and Robert. Mary and Robert are now deceased.

My ancestors lived in the Saltoun area in the 1800's. Philip Robertson was married to Marion Henderson in 1868. He was born around 1839 to Eliza or Elizabeth Forsythe. He may have been one of twins The other being named William. It would appear they were illegitimate and sometime between the age of 2 and 12 Eliza changed Philips name from Forsythe to Robertson The father of Philip was named as William Robertson (ploughman) on his marriage certificate . They settled in Adelaide where they tried to be market gardeners and their home was called 'Burnside' - now a suburb of the city, but later they moved and our branch of the family eventually ended up in New South Wales. Are there any Andersons who can trace their line back to Whitekirk parish, prior to 1839?

Margaret Flynn (Dolan) died 8 Mar 1922 South Leith Edinburgh.
Ann Flynn (McGowan) died 24 Feb 1919 at 9 Kingslaw Street, Tranent.
Martha Flynn died 23 Dec 1934 at 6 Wedderburn Terrace Inveresk - Former Poorhouse - After 1930, the poorhouse became Inveresk Institution.

looking for info on Sarah feddes smith, believed to be a local midwife, &later believed to be a matron of one of the local hospitals in that area,possibly in the years between 1872&1918,she lived at no. 6. lamer street dunbar,east lothian. she died at this address on 29 jan 1951. her brother died at same address on 8th june1930 his name is william alexander smith. Sarah feddes death states she was the widow of james bryce,cant find any trace of marriage, thank you for any help you can give me.
