My great grandfather Hugh Young married Elizabeth Manson in Edinburgh in 1882. Her father James Manson was already dead . My 3Xgt grandfather was married as David Alchersone to Elizabeth Bremner in Canisbay Kirk in 1849, both are buried at Keiss Cemetery under the surname Alexander. Their son Andrew Bremner Alexander emmigrated to Australia around 1880 and settled in Balmain NSW with his wife Elizabeth McWhirter of Colmonell Ayr who he married in Edinburgh in 1880.
