My ancestors John ferguson ,Sarah mclarty lived with their children between Furnace+ Inveraray in a model village created by the 5th Duke of Argyll called Kenmore.
Their accupations ,Coopers+ Fishermen.
On the 1841 census.
Some I found with help were buried in Kilmalieu cemetery.
John died in 1882 at 89yrs,Sarah 1876 at 73yrs.
They had 8 children Duncan,Dugald (my gggrandfather) John,margaret,catherine,nelly (helen), donald,James.
Dugald immigrated here to Australia about 1852.
I would like contact with any ancestors.
Note ,Kenmore village is not their now its a favourite diving spot.

Also have record of Donald (above, b.1826 Lismore) as having died on 9 April 1909 at Achinduin, Lismore, information for death given to registrar by second cousin, Donald McColl, also of Achinduin, Lismore. I do not find that village name either, is it gone?
