Does anyone know how I would find out how to get info on their parents? They were both born abt 1750-60. Looking for any information on Duncan Campbell and Margaret McColl (gggg-grandfather and gggg-grandmother) listed from Lismore Island, Oban having had at least three children there from 1817 through 1826: Isabella, Archibald and Donald. Archibald was to have married a Mary McColl (ggg-grandfather and ggg-gradmother) and been living in Anderston (see listing there) by Oct 1852 as per birth record of daughter, Elizabeth, my gggrandmother. Also have record of Donald (above, b.1826 Lismore) as having died on 9 April 1909 at Achinduin, Lismore, information for death given to registrar by second cousin, Donald McColl, also of Achinduin, Lismore. I do not find that village name either, is it gone?

Had connections to Sanna, Ardnamurchan, either lived there or came from there, not sure. Men in the family were fishermen, Donald's father was lost at sea when Donald was a boy. Macinnes, Donald, Ronald MacDonald - Sanna
Looking for info re Donald Stewart MacInnes, born Circa 1875c in Oban, Scotland. Connected to Stewarts of Appin. Only child to mother Margaret Stewart, from Sanna, father Donald MacInnes. Lived in Sanna from 1880 ish with widowed mother and widowed aunt, surname MacDonald and her only son John Stewart MacDonald. Men in the family were fishermen, Donald's father was lost at sea when Donald was a boy. Ronald MacDonald was last known family member still in the Ardnamurchan area. Donald MacInnes went to sea as a boy and served on Hosptial ships in the Boer War. I think John Stewart MacDonald was a Clyde Pilot but ended his days at his property in Sanna called Coire Sgeir.
