Stuart Family - New Deer
I am seeking information regarding descendants the Stuart family of Old Maud, New Deer. I have early and later photographs of Stuart headstones from the churchyard cemetery that were sent to my paternal grandmother, Elsie Stuart Robertson, after sheimmigrated to Canada at the turn of the last century. Elsie's grandfather was James Stuart who died in 1886 in his 73rd year, husband of Isabella Kynoch of Old Maud. None died as children. Tradional naming patterns do not appear to apply as both James Allan and Robert Forbes were named after Ministers of the Church of Scotland. William FINCHER was born in England around 1801. But where is the mystery!
