Looking for any info about the ancestry of Margaret Mackie, b. Tullynessle around 1802 (parents unknown to me). She married George Sievewright/Seivwright of Montrose, Angus and had several children: Agnes (m. Spence), Catherine (m. Forbes), Jean, Ann (m. Escott), Helen & Charles. Most of this family emigrated to Ontario, Canada, some later to Massachusetts. Would also like to hear from descendants.

William was born in New Deer (son of James Charleson DOUGLAS and Jane DAVIDSON) on the 27th April 1890. He was a sailor (cook) and died in Santos (Brazil)the 18th February 1929. Married to Josephine GRIMALDI (she died), then to Rosine SIMONDI 28th July 1921.They had a boy Marcel (my husband) and a daughter Suzanne. We don't know if William had siblings ? Can you help ? Alexander SMITH married Mary SIMPSON in 1828 at Cruded. She was the daughter of a George SIMPSON and Barbara BRUCE. Alexander SMITH left Turriff c1833 with his 2 sons George and Alexander Bruce and sailed to Tasmania, seemingly in the company of a Jane SUTHERLAND. They had children in Australia. I know nothing of what happened to young George, But AB married in Tasmania and went to New Zealand. Any help appreciated

Warden family in Turriff - Turriff
John Warden, wife unknown, had a son Robert born abt 1808 in Turriff. John was an Excise Officer from Peterhead. We can find no record of Johns Marriage or death. He had four other children born in Peterhead - Alexander b 1794, John b 1796, Margaret b 1798 and Christian b 1800, these children were raised in Turriff. Alexander became a Doctor and emigrated to the West Indies. Family have letters sent back home by 'package' addressed to Mrs Warden, Turriff. John also became a Doctor and emigrated. Christian married a tailor from Peterhead but we know nothing of Margaret. Any information regarding this family will be most welcome.

My Great Grandfather, William Alexander Cullen was born at 27 Charles Street, Aberdeen to John Cullen (a mason journeyman) and Jane (nee Crichton, spelt Creighton today) on March 20, 1886. His father, John Cullen, was born in New Deer on December 22, 1871. William had several siblings, Christine (became Knox), John, and George (died upon arriving in Canada in April, 1919 from diptheria). Does anyone have anymore info regarding these people? Also, can ANYONE get me a picture of 27 Charles Street, if it still exists?

My grandfather's name was Alexander Mitchell Elrick who I believe was born in or near Aberdeen. He was known to his friends as Sandy.
