My late husband's Great grand father Benjamin Baker married a Anna Joy from Bonmahon (near Waterford)between 1861 and 1862 in Philadelphia USA.We know she had a sister Margaret and a brother Patrick her parents- Mary and Richard.
Benjamin and Anna had 2 sons , Thomas, who died very young and Richard Joy Baker who emigrated to Australia was my husband's grandfather.
Anna (Joy) died and he married Annie Barry ? date also from Ireland , they had a daughter Kate born in 1867. Any connections to this family please make contact.Thanks.

My Fifth Generation Grandparent were born cira 1750 in or near Waterford in the Porlaw & Ballyduff area. We hired a researcher, but he was unable to locate Baptimals for John and his son Richard, but of Richard's children (and his wife Catherine Griffin). The family emigrated to Ontario, Lanark County in 1832. My branch of the family immigrated to Butler county Iowa, after the family had resided in this area for over 40 years.There would be relatives both in Canada and Iowa. I would like to find my family in Waterford. I have exact date of some of my aunts/uncles Baptisms.

I am looking for any info on Mary Kelly born in co Waterford (somewhere) 1882/83. parents were an Owen Kelly and Ann - nee Mcguire. it seems Mary was the only sibling to be born in Ireland, her family settled in Lincoln, Lincolnshire before she was born, so I am not sure how she came to be born in Ireland. she married in 1911 a William Parkinson and died in 1934.any info greatly appreciated.

Other info known: James McNamara, a pensioner guard arrived in Fremantle, West Aust with wife Julia (surname unknown) on the ship "Sea Park" 18 Nov 1853. James had enlisted in Army at Limerick, Mar 1825 aged 17 years. Discharged 1845. Daughters Catherine McNamara (my gg gm) born c1840 and Bridget born c1847?.

I am trying to trace my family's Irish roots. My gg Grandfather, William Cleary, appears to have been born in Glamorgan Wales in 1858, however his first 3 children, John Michael, Ellen and Patrick were born in Waterford Ireland from 1876 to 1880. The next 4 children (William Joseph, James Edward, Florence May and Margaret) were born in Bradford Yorkshire from 1883 to 1895. His wife, Mary (nee Blute) was apparently born in Waterford Ireland c.1856. Any information anyone may have on William or Mary would be very appreciated. Kind regards.

Looking for information relating to Thomas Ford, brother Jeremiah(b 1826)and their father Thomas Ford (b circa 1774) 1861 census indicates all were born in Waterford Ireland and moved to Leeds England some time before 1842. Thomas married Alice (also born in Ireland between 1816 & 1819).They had at least 7 children - Margaret, James, Thomas, William, Richard, Jeremiah and John.

William Flinn 1840-1891

Are there living relatives of William Flinn (Flynn) out there? He was born 1840 in Waterford and went to Wales before he was 23, as he married a girl from Monmouthshire (Elizabeth Bale)in 1863. They had 10 children, Mary Elizabeth, Edward, William, William (first William died), Amelia, John, Susan, Henyretta, Johanna, Joseph. William died in 1891 and is buried in St Woolos Cemetery, Newport, South Wales. No trace of where his wife is buried, although she only lived 3 years after his death.
William was a Stevedore at Newport Docks, and a catholic and is buried in the Catholic section of the cemetery along with 2 of his young sons who predeceased him.

I am searching for my GG Grandfather and GG Grandmother who were born in Waterford, Ireland in about 1825. Both stated in the 1861 census in Warrington that they were glass workers and worked in the glass trade there. Previously they had lived in Newcastle-upon-Tyne for a while where my great grandmother, Johanna was born in 1853.
I would be grateful if anyone could give me any information or point me in the right direction to search for information.

My uncle Jimmie won the Sailing Cup for Dungarvan, many years ago. I am told that it is in the Dungarvan Boat Club. I am also told that there was a article in the Dungarvan Paper about this.
