Looking for information on Maurice Phelan (b. 9/16/1879 to James Phelan (b. 1835) and Margaret Cooney (d. Slievenamon, Tipperary, 6/6/1918)).
Maurice married Mary Nugent (b. 6/?/1883 in Carrick-on-Suir to Patrick Nugent and Johanna Kennedy) in 1916. U.S. Census records confirm Maurice and Mary Phelan immigrated to Chicago, Illinois sometime between 1903 and 1906, and were naturalized U.S. citizens in 1918. They had three children that I'm aware of: Margaret Mary Phelan, b. 9/2/1918, Maurice Phelan, b. 1919 or 1920, and Patricia J. Phelan, b. 1922.
Mary's brother, Jerrie Nugent, b. ca. 1889, immigrated to Chicago in 1914. His naturalization papers were pending in 1920.
Both Maurice Phelan and Jerrie Nugent worked in the Chicago railroad industry, either as clerks or switchmen.

Our main lines are Cutts, Edge, Goodwin, Harvey. If anyone knows of a list of names associated with the area, or knows of folks by any of these names, please write to me.
