Dean and Pinkerton - (Templepatrick - County Antrim)
I am looking for information on William Dean/Deans b. abt. 1805 and Margaret Pinkerton b abt 1811 in Templepatrick. They married sometime around 1830-32, They had at least 7 children who accompanied Margret to the U.S. in 1849 where they settled in Paterson NJ. There is no record of William Dean arriving in the U.S. I would like to determine their ancestors and/or what happened to William. William and Margaret were my great-great-grandparents on my mother's side.

Thomas Pinkerton - (Templepatrick - County Antrim)
Born around 1822. (labourer) Emmigrated to UK around 1843. Married Mary Fleming 1851 in Denny,nr Stirling, Scotland. Lived and died in Denny, working around the pits. Father was Alexandre Pinkerton (a block printer). Thomas and Mary had a son, Thomas Pinkerton and a daughter, Isabella who married James Shirra. One of my great (x2) grandfathers on my mother's side. Jamison Wm John & McKinstry Mary - (Templepatrick - County Antrim)
These were my Great Great Grandparents who lived at Ballymartin House, Templepatrick - children were Elizabeth (b1863) (my Great Great Grandmother who married Captain John Lewis from Wales), Mary (who married Joseph Barrett of Ballyhartfield Doagh), Agnes (who married John Williamson) James and Thomas (who both married are whose descendants for whom I am particularly searching - Thomas believed to have emigrated to South Africa dates unknown) and Margaret (who married ? Wallace)
Wm John had a brother Thomas who married Margaret McGlaughlin in 1852 and she had a sister, Agnes, who married a Williamson. Wm John and Thomas also had a sister, Margaret who married Samuel Robinson 7.3.1851. All these marriages took place in Lylehill Pres Church nr Templepatrick, Co Antrim, N Ireland.
Any information relating to relatives - ancestors or descendants are extremely welcome.

Castle Upton Templepatrick - (Templepatrick - County Antrim)
A handed down family story(unproven)is that a Seymour daughter from Castle Upton fell off her horse - rescued by & fell in love with an estate worker called PETER SEABOURNE. They ran away & married & had a daughter SOPHIA Peter Seabourne became a coastguard (died June 1867 in Donegal) Their daughter Sophia Seabourne married my grandfather James Wright in Moville in 1864

Searching for information about my great-great-granndparents, Sam & Rosa McNeilly, married in Templepatrick on 3rd January, 1826. Their son, John McNeilly, born c.1827, migrated to Victoria, Australia in 1849.I have searched for further information for years, also when holidaying in Nthn Ireland, searching through graveyards and trying to locate the exact area where they lived - all to no avail! Would love to know whether there were other siblings, and their history; also, prior history if possible. John McNeilly played a significant part in the history of Victoria, which I would be happy to share.

Passenger manifest shows nearest relative as Margaret (Spratt) Bashford of 2 Seaforth Terrace, Whitehead, County Antrim. He was born in Riccarton, Ayr in 1860, listed in 1861 census in Riccarton, married Margaret Spratt in Templecorran,Larne, Antrim in 1904. Shows with wife in 1911 census in Bangor. 1920 census in Chicago, returned to Belfast in 1928, died in 1935.

Spence/Murdoch/Harper connection - (Whitehouse - County Antrim)
I am researching the above families, Spence and Murdoch originate from Comber Co. Down; and at times from the Co.Antrim part of Belfast. Harper (Evelina) originated from Whitehouse, Co. Antrim and married my Great Grandfather John Murdoch in Jun 1874; which was his second marriage.
In the case of Spence (William) who was born about 1751; I am sure that a daughter of his married my Great Great Grandfather, Robert Murdoch.

Wiley/Wylie from Carnmoney. - (Carnmoney, Carmoney - County Antrim)
I believe that my ggg grandfather may have been born here,c 1830.
His name was James Wiley, and he married Maria Nichol.I also have a marriage for this couple as being 1851, Newtonhamilton.As I have now found, there are lots of James Wileys from this part of the world.
From James and Maria's marriage entry, I have their father's names as John Wiley and William Nichol, respectively.
On arriving in Scotland, however, the family surname is spelt Wylie.

Jamison McWilliams of Dervock area - (Clover Hill - County Antrim)
Looking for any info on William John Jamison who married Mary McWilliamsand their family. On their April 6th 1871 wedding registration he is listed as a widower from Ballynafeagh Parish of Derrykeighan. Mary is listed as a weaver from Urble parish of Billy. His dad was John Jamison. Her dad was William McWilliams. Their three sons were born William at Cloverhill Ballynafeagh, Charles at Larkhill, and Johnston at Drumafivey, before they all emmigrated to the USA then Canada. Is Larkhill now called Kirkhills? it seems to be in the same place on an old map. I am William and Mary's great grandaughter.

They immigrate to Australia and have a son James born in NSW in 1885, a son William John McVicker born in 1887, son Samuel in 1892, son Harold George born 1895, and daughter Mabel Elsie born in 1899.

Thomas McBurney and Sarah Gilchrist - (Killead - County Antrim)
I'm looking for information about the family of Thomas McBurney who married Sarah Gilchrist in 1766 and died 1773. Sarah and their children (James, Barbara, Elizabeth and Thomas) emigrated to America in 1784 and settled initially in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. James and Thomas subsequently settled in Steuben County, New York. James McBurney had a cousin, John Beattie from County Antrim, who later came to Steuben County, New York along with his wife Eliza. I'm interested in learning more about the ancestral histories of the McBurney, Gilchrist and Beattie families in Northern Ireland.

Wright/Gt. gt. grandparents - (Killead - County Antrim)
My Gt.Gt. grandparents were Samuel Wright and Charlotte Hoy. born 1841 & 1844 respectively, were married in Killead on 31st July 1862. Both their fathers were named William. They moved to Scotland then to Hartlepool, Co. Durham, after 1881 I can find no trace of them. Has anyone knowledge of any part of this family?
