Bradley Family in Bradley Green - Bradley Green
My great great grandfather, Reuben Bradley was born in Bradley Green in 1841, the illegitimate son of Mary Bradley. He settled in nearby Feckenham. His father was said to be a 'lord of the manor type. Reuben grew up knowing who his dad was but this info has not been passed down. The only clues we have is that Reuben's children overheard a horse drawn carriage pull up one evening, followed by a polite refusal from their father in response to a footman's request that he meet the dying parent. The other clue we have is that the father was a musical man who had the organ from the church installed in his house. I gather that he bought the church a new organ in its stead. Reuben seemed to inherit his father's musical ability and taught all his children to play instruments. Any ideas as to who this elusive father might be? Thanks Suzanne Bradley
