John Doust was a freeman wheelwright in (Allington)All Cannings when his son Charles (a coachman who moved to Coventry where he married Mary Large in 1817, and then to Birmingham where he died in 1867) was born in 1794, apparently married to Elizabeth. Any ideas as to John's forbears? His second wife was Mary Manning.

I have a William Alexander Maslen, b. 25 FEB 1825, Lincolnshire, Essex, Engl d. 12 Jan 1909 in ElDorado Springs, Cedar County MO, I know he married Helena Kilby 1JAN 144 in London. Trying to trace my grandmothers relations, she was Mary Besant,born 18th March 1889 possibly in Pewsey.Sisters were Sarah, Lizzie, Dorah, Alice and Annie known as Nance. Mary married Walter Moxham in Allington Parish Church 14 Feb 1914.
Marys father was Edward Besant, and they were residing in Allington at that time. pewsey.

My grandmother Olive King was born in the small village of Alvediston, Wiltshire in 1899. Her parents were Mark King b1863 and Kate (surname unknown) b1871. I can't find out Kate's surname although i am waiting for some records from the Parish church in Alvediston. Mark's mother was called Elizabeth b1833 and he was the stepson of Elizabeth's husband Henry Louter (Luter?)b1823. Can anyone help me here as i am totally stuck? Thanks.

Is there anyone out there who can tell me the whereabouts of the Page family: mother Joan (an Austrian by birth), Josie the eldest, Manfred - who went into the RAF I think and of coures Richard. I was told that Josie married a solicitor from London who settled in the Salisbury area. Her father was a WOI in the R Signals but I was told that he had died. Please help.

Valentine James PRANGNELL - (Amesbury - Wiltshire)
I am trying to trace anyone who has information on Valentine James PRANGNELL, he was born on 3rd March 1906 in Amesbury, Wiltshire. He married my Grandmother Alice Edith Irvine on 29th March 1955 in Westminster, it was at least the 2nd marriage for both of them. He died on 24th September 1974 in Westminster as the result of an accident. I believe that he was known as Jim or Jimmy. I don't believe that he and my Grandmother had any children, but I am not 100% sure about this. The only information I have about my Grandmother is fact's and figures as she gave my mother up when she was 5 years of age and had no further contact with her. I would love to make contact with anyone who might have known her so that I can maybe get some knowledge of what she was like as a person. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Amesbury - Stephens Robert - (Amesbury - Wiltshire)
According to the 1841 UK Census Robert Stephens who was a Drill Sergeant R W Y was living in Amesbury. He was born in Ireland c. 1806. Was there a Military Barracks in Amesbury around this time? Was he part of the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry. Two of his children were born in Ireland and another in Wiltshire. I can find no further mention of this family.
