I am interested in anything about the Pizzie family from that area. I am just finding out that my ancestors originated from there. My Gt Gt Grandfather was called Thomas Pizzie born in aldbourne about 1869, my gt grandfather was William Thomas Pizzieborn Hungerford 1894 they must have moved to Lowestoft, Suffolk at some point because that is where my grandad and one of his cousins were born.

I have a copy of the GWR Magazine Oct 1917,in it are listed, with small photo,s, 51 men who had perished in the war who were GWR employees,one of these being Corporal TOM HAWKINS service number, 19283, 5th Btn Wilts Regiment Kia 28-7-1917.
TOM was a Boilermakers Helper in the Locomotive Works Swindon aged 25, the son of EMMA HAWKINS The Square Aldbourne,would a photocopy of the page be any good to anyone connected to this family,I have two uncles listed in it as well.

Looking for husband of Harriette/Harriet Issacs shown in Salisbury St. Martin, Wiltshire in 1881 census. In 1881 Harriette was 56 and she was the head of the household, therefore, no husband. Living with her, was her daughter Jane E Isaacs age 21 &her son Walter J Isaacs age 2, also a son, Harry Isaacs age 19, and daughter Alice Isaacs age 14. The census also shows that Harriette Harrisson was born in Redlynch, Wiltshire.
Harriette/Harriet Isaacs death record indicates she died in 1889 in Alderbury.

Robert HAINES (1832-1918) was son of Stephen HAINES (1796-1851) and Maria BUNGAY (1809-1883). Stephen and Maria who had married in 1826 had issue of Charles (1827), Martha (1829)who married James UPHILL, Edwin (1831), Stephen, (1832), Robert (1832), Ellen (1834) Maria (1835), Elizabeth (1837) who married George HOLLOWAY, Sarah (1840) Jacob (1844), Amelia (Millie) (1846)and Stephen (1848). Robert and brother Edwin together with cousins Thomas, James and William and their families as well as Ellen the cousins' youngest sister left in 1850, emigrating to South Australia, Australia. Over the next few months and years all of the family of Robert's Uncle Thomas (1789-1857) and Aunt Sophia nee WISE (1793-1854)emigrated to South Australia. Also Robert's Uncle Job HAINES (1802-1887) and his second wife Elizabeth nee DREDGE (1804-1878) and their family Emma (1833), Charles (1837), Ellen (18410 and Elizabeth also emigrated but settled in Melbourne Victoria, Australia.
