I am looking for any information on my grandmother who was born Annie Elizabeth Hildridge in 1882. She married my grandfather Herbert Atkinson in 1906 in Leeds. I don´t know where she was born as she was listed as living at the same address as my grandfather on her marriage certificate.

William B. Bulmer - Leeds
I believe my great great grandfather, William B. Bulmer was born in Wesleyan Leeds Yorkshire about 1826. He emigrated to New York State prior to 1860 with his wife Ellen also born about 1826. The 1860 New York census lists his children as being born in that region also. They were: John born about 1848, Thomas born about 1849, Ellen born about 1851 and James born about 1853. Thomas was my great grandfather. I would like to know William Bulmer's parents names and dates of birth, or any other information that might be available on this ancestor. And of course, if I have any distant cousins in that area I would like to know that also.

Stevians/Liversedge (Leeds) - Leeds
My great great grandmother was Ada Stevians ( as spelt on her marriage certificate to Walter Liversedge.) Her age was stated as 21, however census information confirms she was younger. No birth has been located. She married at Kirkstall st Stephens on 4th Oct 1875. According to her marriage certificate her father was called George Stevians.

JAMES DAYMOND ELLIS - Leeds
Am looking for information about James Daymond Ellis, born India c1842 and married to Josephine Minnie Balls before 1870. Josephine was born c 1845. Believe they may have ended up living in Leeds area - their last four children were born in Hunslet & Rothwell areas of Leeds. Have got very stuck as hard to find information on people born in India and would like to trace this line of the family tree back further! James is known to have been a book keeper in the leather trade, and died sometime between 1891 and 1901. They had six children, the first two being born in London and Reading (berks). George Frederick FOSTER - Leeds
I am hoping to contact descendants of George Frederick Foster, who was born in Leeds in 1848. He emigrated to South Australia with his wife Agnes (nee Allen), son George who would have been about 5 years old and two year old daughter Agnes Elizabeth. They sailed onboard the ship "Woodlark" and arrived at Port Adelaide, South Australia on 21 February 1879. George F. and Agnes had another son Oscar born 1880 in Brompton, Adelaide. I believe George Frederick died in 1885, aged about 37. If there are any Aussie descendants of George F. who would like to contact me here in England, I would be happy to swap information.

Looking for descendants of John, Benjamin and James Mills who lived in Potternewton in the early to mid 1800s. They worshipped at Chapel Allerton. John married Eliz. Hartley and James married Martha Brownridge in St. Peters, Leeds in 1815. By 1901 descendants included Lindon Price Mills, Maggie Gott Mills and Joseph William Mills who lived in Raglan Street.

We are looking for information on a family SMITH, in 1861 living at 209 Shadwell Road, Chapel Allerton. In particular we need details about Hannah SMITH (b.1853) and her sister Elizabeth (b.1854), both in Moor Allerton. Interestingly, the next-door family was DONISTHORPE - whose son Wordsworth (named after the poet to whom the family were related) later invented the first motion picture apparatus in 1876.

John Carter - blacksmith - Leeds
I am looking for information about the daughters of John Carter, blacksmith of Leeds. Their names were Mary Jane, born c1855 ; Ann, born c1857 and Alice, born c1860. The 1861 census shows the family living at 11 Burmantofts, Leeds.
Their mother Mary (nee Austin) died in 1864 in Leeds and their father died in 1866 in Kippax, Yorkshire.
John and Mary also had two sons John William born 1862 and Joseph born 1864. In the 1871 census the sons were shown living in Kippax, Yorkshire (at different addresses) but I have been unable to find out what happened to the daughters. Any information appreciated.

Moyles Family ? from North Street Born in Edindburgh 1912 - Leeds
I am trying to trace my grandfathers family to form my family tree, My grandfather was born 7/7/12 registered as Michael John McConnel Moyles in edinburgh born to a margerate Moyles father unknown no fixed abode. I believe he was bought up by family in Co Mayo but at the age of 14 he moved to Leeds to live with an aunt or uncle ?north street. He moved from Co.Mayo. Whilst living in Leeds I believe he also refered to himself as Dennis Moyles (or Michael John St Dennis Moyles). There is talk that he worked on a fairground in Leeds and was possibly a prizefigther and MC at an Leeds Irish Club. Does this story ring any bells with anyone. William FOSTER of Woodhouse - Leeds
I have recently discovered that my great-great-grandfather William Foster was born in the Woodhouse area of Leeds in 1813. I have a copy of his baptism record (from St. Peter's parish church of Leeds) which states his father was John Foster, Cloth Dresser of Woodhouse, and his mother was called Hannah. They married probably at St. Peter's around 1808-1811. I would be grateful for any info on William's brothers and sisters. If this sounds like your ancestors, I would love to hear from you.

I am trying to trace anyone who may remember, or may be related to, my Dad's uncle and aunt, Herbert and Bertha Brown, nee Holliday. They were married at All Souls church, Leeds in 1917 and had two daughters, Ada M Brown (born 1920) and Elsie Brown (born 1922). When my Dad came home on leave from the army during the Second World War, he used to visit them and they lived at that time very close to his parents, on or near to the Seacroft Estate, Leeds.
