I have not been able to find any information about Edward Hirst's baptism. Would be grateful for any other information on the family, and especially about finding Edward's baptism.

My request for help on Sarah Clara Blackwell refers - Although her m/cert states Sarah Clara, her b/cert has Clara Sarah b.1857. Uriah Hinchcliffe of Emley. - Emley
My 4XGreatGrandfather was Uriah Hinchcliffe, born Emley around 1787/1788. Have traced loads of information about his later life, marrying Mary Taylor in September, 1808 in High Hoyland and having at least 11 children together but the one thing I cannot trace is Uriah's baptismal record, which would give
the names of his parents.
Think he is from Emley, Skelmanthorpe, High Hoyland or Cumberworth areas of West Yorkshire. Can anyone help please?

ASKAM, JACKSON, EDGAR, WOOFFENDEN. - Emley
John Askam (b 1876) was a chemist and the son of George (b 1837 Emley) a second or third generation farmer at Kirkby. John married Mary Ellen Jackson in 1903 in Stockport. Her sister Marie married my great uncle Harold Edgar in Emley in 1917 whilst he was in the Canadian army.
Harold had emigrated to Alberta in 1908 (followed by his sister Nellie) and Harold returned there with his bride after WW1. He was from Gorton in Manchester which is very close to Reddish, Stockport where the Jackson family lived. I have no idea if Harold and Marie met in Stockport (ie, whilst Harold was on leave) or Emley (perhaps whilst seconded from the army and helping on the Askam family farm). Harold had farmed in Canada.
Searching headstones at St Michael's, Emley last summer I did not find any Askam or other family names but intriguingly I did find William Wooffenden d 20.12.1852 aged 73. This is an unusual name and it crops up later as Woffindin in Canada in a marriage to a daughter of Harold's sister. Coincidence?
If anyone can help with any of these connections I will be most grateful and very happy to exchange family history.
David

Howard / Robinson family Knaresborough - Farnham
I am interested in gaining any information of my grandfather Leonard Howard, who married Mary Ann Robinson. They lived in Kirkby Overblow, and had three daughters, Joan, Margery and Patricia, and a son, Norman. He later remarried, so I presume she died young, or they divorced.
Leonard was born in Knaresborough, and his father's name was William Howard. (William's job is down as "Marine Supplies").
I have found a Richard Howard married to Jane (Nee?) who lived in Knaresborough, and had 2 sons, Richard and William.
I have also found a mary Annie Robinson, born in 1891 in Farnham, Knaresborough, to William and Mary Robinson, but am unsure if this is her.
Any help in tracing anything about this would be greatly appreciated.
