Looking for WASHINGTON/SUTCLIFFE connection. My G G G grandfther William WASHINGTON married Rachel SUTCLIFFE, on 11 Aptil 1814, in the Kirkheaton Parish church. Rachel was born Dalton/Kirkheaton in 1796. They had four children born between 1815 and 1821. Rachel apprently died from complication relating to the birth of their last child James in Dec 1821. She is noted as being buried in Jan 1822 in the Kirkheaton Parish church graveyard. Rachel is not in my direct line, her children became the step brother and sister to my G G G grandfather Robert. This was the third marriage for William and the second for Ellen. Ellen had been previously married to Titus Knight. This marriage took place in the Almondbury Parish church. Ellen's father William was born in Huddersfield in 1776. He was a Cloth Dresser. Sarah Hirst,was born in 1773. They were married in the Huddersfield Parish Church on 10 May 1801. Ellen who is my G G G grandmother died in 1863.
