ALLEN Hannah - (Withyham - Sussex)
I am looking for information on my ggg grandmother Hannah Allen born in Withyham in 1822. I know her parents were Edward Allen and Elizabeth Gibson and that she had an illegitimate daughter Sarah Ann who was born in 1849. I have found her daughter in the Hartfield workhouse in 1851 and 1861 but there is no sign of Hannah and I am unable to find any further trace of her. Any information would be very much appreciated.

Elwes - Mary - (Woolbeding - Sussex)
Would anyone have info on Mary, who was a daughter of the rector of Woolbeding in 1901 census. I believe Mary was an artist.
I also believe she travelled , in 1920s to Chile.
On return ship journey there were three ladies, all described as artists - namely Mary Elwes of Woolbeding, Margaret Gardiner of Kensington, and Lottie Fowler of c/o an address in Ayr.
Lottie is the lady I am trying to track down, and perhaps, if there is any info to bring these three together I might be lucky.
I think LOttie or Charlotte was married to my great uncle Gordon Fowler. He qualified out of Aberdeen as a Dr of medicine and seemed to have practised in Iquique, Chile. There were probably several children, more than likely born in Chile. If I could find Lottie's maiden name, what a bonus.
Thanks,
Ian

Wells family in Woolbeding/Easebourne - (Woolbeding - Sussex)
I am searching for information on Christopher and Arthur Wells born circa 1780 and Farmers in Eastshaw Woolbeding. Christopher had a son Henry (born 1821) and he in turn had a daughter Florence Wells (born 1863). Florence appears to have a connection to the Wells family in Selborne. I am intersted to know if the Woolbeding family are connected to Selborne, before 1780 although Florence's connection may be a coincidence.

Harris - (Worth - Sussex)
My ancestor Mary, born Worth in about 1815, married John Harris from Wroughton in Wltshire. They had a son Thomas who was born in Crawley, around 1844. In 1851, Thomas was living with his grandparents in Wroughton while Mary was lodging with the Gorringe family in Worth on Parish Relief. By 1861, the family was back together again, living in London.
Mary is actually described as a widow in the 1851 census - however, given the unlikelihood of their being more than one Mary with a Worth/Wroughton/Harris connection at this time, I'm assuming this must be either my ancestor or some other family connection.
I'm trying to trace Mary's maiden name and discover where John was in 1851.
Family Surnames: Harris, Gorringe
