Hawkins of Burwash - Burwash Weald
On 28th May, 1839 the "Neptune" sailed from Gravesend, arriving in Sydney, NSW on 6th September, 1839 with a compliment of Sussex immigrants from an area in Sussex which included the villages of Burwash, Salehurst, Hawkhurst, (Kent) Robertsbridge and others on the border of Sussex & Kent. Passengers included: James Hawkins & Fanny Greer (died on voyage) and Thomas Hawkins of Burwash & Charlotte Hazelwood of Dallington. Fanny was 22 when she died. Thomas and Charlotte's son, Jesse b1821, was my son's ancestor. Any information/help would be appreciated.
