Pheobe Cole had a child at bourne place, It was a boy, his name was JOHN JAMES COLE,born 11th October 1898.Pheobes son John Cole worked at Bides Nurseries Farm, Guildford Road Runfold Farnham sy.John became known as JACK COLE. later on John (jack) married a Hilda Elizabeth Stone at THE PARISH CHURCH in farnham sy on
the 18th September 1937. On the marriage certificate the witnesses were JAMES ARTHUR GEORGE COLE and KATE CATHERINE COLE.
Back to Pheobe Cole (i believe ) she had a younger sister ANNIE COLE who married a MR YOUNG. in farnham sy

I believe he was likely born in Frensham, but I know only he was a police constable, two of his children were christened at St. Bride Fleet Street, and that he had a brother JOB GOODEVE, who was b. in Frensham ca. 1826 m. My husband remembers being moved from Fox House, Lavender Hill wih this Mother and sister to Frimley Surry in the mid to late 60's. They stayed in a large house with other families. The house had as large driveway lined with trees and there was a small stream and possibly a lake in the grounds. He was sent to a local school.Does anyone remember this house it was quite possibly run/funded by social services. Is the house still there and if so where is it in Frimley? Is it still standing? Any suggestions welcome

Mayne family of Gatton - Gatton
Robert Mayne MP and banker (1728-1782)lived at Gatton estate at times c.1775 while Gatton was in possession of his brother William Mayne, Lord Newhaven. Robert's young wife Sarah nee Otway died after the birth of her 4th child in 1780 and according to family information was meant to have been buried at Gatton 1 Aug 1780. Her husband buried there 9 Aug 1782. We visited in 1998 from New Zealand but could find no sign of their graves? Any information gratefully accepted as these are our 3x great grandparents.
