Barry/Kellinan/Cullinane
- Carshalton
Looking for any connections to the following
Michael Barry also known as Kellinan d/b 1852 in either Surrey or Finsbury London
Wife Mary Barry ( nee Caton) born 1847 appx Heston
Children
Catherine d/b 1874 appx Finsbury London
Michael d/b 1876 appx London
Margaret d/b 1879 appx London
Bridget d/b 1881 appx Holborn London
Mary d/b 1885 appx London
Edward d/b 1887 appx London
Daniel Kellinan d/b 1889 appx Sutton, Surrey
Ellen Kellenane d/b 1891 appx Sutton
Jeremiah Killenan d/b 10/3/1894 Carshalton
William Killenan d/b 9/10/1895 West Street Carshalton
Although Mary and Michael had 10 children between 1874 and 1895 they did not marry until 1916 when they were both in their 60s. I dont know if there was any particular reason for that, eg another spouse somewhere.
They went by the name Barry up until 1889. The children they had after that were baptised in the name Kellinan which may be a variant of Cullinane.
The parents of both Mary & Michael came from Ireland, County Cork.I believe that the Barrys came from Clonakilty.
