Arnold - Langham
- Barton Mills
I am trying to trace ancestors from Barton Mills. I have a William Arnold b 1816 he was a coalminer, and I am trying to find his wife's name. They had Deborah 1844(who later married William Langham in 1861 in Bishop Auckland), which is where the family moved to before 1861. Other children were Ann 1846, George 1849, Emily 1852. It was a strange set up and William later married William Langhams mother Caroline (Clark) in 1858 in Chester-le-Street. I would really like to find out who Deborah's mother was, or info on 41,51 census. Any clues would be great. Many thanks

ARCHER FAMILY OF BARTON MILLS
- Barton Mills
The Archer family lived in Barton Mills in the 1700s/1800s. They lived at Barton Place. Thomas Archer (b1734) farmer and carrier and his son Thomas P Archer (b1764) solicitor are the most notable. They had 17 children so any Archers in the Barton Mills/Mildenhall area are probably related. Other surnames are BALLS, GOTOBED, READ, EVANS, BRECKLES, PRICKETT, ANDREWS etc.

BURTON in Bawdsey, Suffolk
- Bawdsey
In the 1841 Census, Ann BURTON, age 55, widow, is listed as living in Bawdsey Cottage with her daughter Caroline BURTON, age 25. Ann was married to William BURTON, cooper, who was born 14 Dec 1781 in Romford Essex and who died before Mar 1820, presumably in Bawdsey. William and Ann had two children, Sarah Ann, born about 14 Apr 1813 and Caroline born about 22 Jun 1814, both in Bawdsey. Both girls were christened in Bawdsey on 21 May 1821. I would like to know what happened to the widow Ann, if she remarried or died a widow, and where she might be buried. I would also like to know when William died and where he is buried. I would also like to know what happened to Sarah Ann and Caroline. Did they marry, and if so to whom, when and where, and did they have children?
